Beeston 0 Steeton 1
Steeton moved into the semi final of the West Riding County FA Cup with a hard fought 1-0 win at Beeston. Steeton suffered an early blow when Ben Richardson had to be replaced in the first couple of minutes after jarring his knee. The goal came after twenty minutes as Andy Briggs headed Olly Hunter's free kick against the bar and Tom Sowerbutts was on hand to tap home at the fat post. The defence remained solid throughtout the game and Steeton could have made it 2-0 late on but Lee Reilly's penalty was saved as he was tripped in the box but the keeper guessed right and blocked his effort.
The reserves run ended as they went down to Meltham 3-0 in the Challenge Trophy.
Both today's games have passed early morning pitch inspections and are on.
