Steeton AFC are delighted to announce the appointment of David Cope as Reserve Team Manager.

A highly experienced coach, David was most recently Manager of Littletown FC and brings a wealth of experience from his involvement with clubs at NCEL level. David’s current role is with Leeds United Development which he will continue alongside his role at Steeton.

1st Team Manager Roy Mason is delighted with the appointment. "Once I spoke to David over the weekend and outlined our plans for the club, it was clear that we both had the same ambitions. David is what I call a real football man and is someone that I always enjoyed chatting to when our paths crossed during his time at Littletown. I know that he shares my vision of recruiting and developing the best young players in the area.”

"It is a new start for the reserves this season with us moving into the Yorkshire Amateur League and I think that Steeton offers a great platform for young players to progress. We are already recruiting for next season for both the first team and the reserves and David's contacts and connections will play a big part in that."

Everyone at the club wishes him all the best in his new role.

The club will make further announcements to David's backroom staff in due course.
