Biography
Steeton’s go to man down the right wing, there is no denying that Toby Jeffrey bleeds green and white.The winger, who can also play at right-back if required, is now the club’s longest serving player following the departures of Andy Briggs and Alistair Morgan over the summer.
Fresh of a career best season in terms of assists, producing 17 throughout the 2022/23 campaign, Toby will be looking to continue to be the provider this season.
A successful product of the club’s junior section, the wide man made his first team debut for the Chevrons aged just 17.
Making an instant impact for Roy Mason after breaking into the side, Jeffrey became an influential player and played a key part in the team that achieved promotion to the North West Counties Football League in 2018.
Maintaining his place in the side and becoming a prominent player following the step up to semi-professional level, he has gone on to make 184 appearances in green and white as of the conclusion of the 2022/23 season.
And last season would be a standout season for Toby as his 17 assists were complemented by an equal best of 6 goals in one campaign.
But missing out on a top-five finish meant the year ended on a sour note for the winger, and it is a wrong both he and his teammates want to right this season.
