Striker Louis Fialdini became Roy Mason’s second new signing ahead of the 2023/24 season.The striker was a welcome addition for Mason and his squad ahead of the new campaign, arriving at Marley following his departure from Yorkshire Amateur.
One of Mason’s top targets during the off-season, the gaffer stepped up his pursuit following the departure of Andy Briggs to Bury and is ecstatic to get his man’s signature for the year.
And he was delighted to secure Fialdini's services.
Beginning his career in EFL academy systems, Louis would spend time as a youngster with Bradford City, Huddersfield Town, and Barnsley.
After leaving the academies, the forward would spend time during the pandemic representing Oxenhope Recreation where a string of impressive performances attracted the attention of National League North side Farsley Celtic.
Playing for both the Under-19’s and Under-23’s sides at The Citadel, where he also entered the club’s educational system for young players, his goalscoring exploits quickly saw Fialdini moved into the first team set-up.
Making just under 20 appearances for the first team for Celtic, in which time he won the Goal of the Month for a strike in a County Cup tie against Garforth Town, he would be released following the end of his contract and signed with Yorkshire Amateur.
Starting last season with the Ammies, Louis would briefly depart in November of last year to sign with fellow NCEL Premier Division side Eccleshill United.
Quickly returning to Yorkshire Amateur, despite the sides struggles that would result in relegation to Step 6, Fialdini would finish the season as the club’s top scorer before opting to leave once more at its conclusion.
Now a free agent, Roy moved quickly to recruit the striker and, in the process, secure the signature of a long sought after target for the Chevvies.
